A reflection on women’s strength, entrepreneurship, and the generations we build for. International Women’s Day is an important moment in the year. It’s a day to recognize the strength, work, and achievements of women around the world. But it’s also a moment to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come - and how far we still have to go. For me, this day has taken on an even deeper meaning over the past few years. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing three different perspectives on a woman’s life: as a daughter, as a mother, and as an entrepreneur. Being able to build Under Your Skin together with my own mother is something I’m grateful for every single day. We are two generations of women working side by side, united by the same vision: to create products that are better for women’s health while still delivering the results we all want. My mother has taught me so much about courage, focus, and what it means to follow your own path — even when it feels uncertain. And at the same time, I now get to see the world through my daughter’s eyes. That perspective constantly reminds me why the work we do matters. It makes me think about the kind of world we want to build for the next generation of women. A world where women can start companies, lead organizations, take space, and make decisions - without having to compromise their health, their voice, or their ambitions. At Under Your Skin, we’re fortunate to work alongside incredible women every day. Women who lead, create, innovate, and drive change - both within our team and throughout our growing community. And that’s also why you mean so much to us. Every time you choose our products, you’re doing more than simply choosing hair or skincare. You’re supporting female entrepreneurship, a family-founded company, and a vision for a more transparent and healthier beauty industry. So today, I want to say thank you. To my mother - for taking the leap and starting this journey together nearly ten years ago.To my daughter - for reminding me every day why what we do matters. And to you - for being such an important part of this journey. Which woman are you thinking of a little extra today? With warmth,Lovisa
